In a world saturated with images, information, and constant reinterpretation of truth, perception is often shaped more by appearance than by meaning. What is seen is rarely what is fully understood.
Between the Lines, presented in New Delhi in 2019, curated by Studio Art, the work of Khalil Chishtee explores this fragile space between surface and substance. Through sculptural forms and embedded text, he questions how meaning is constructed, obscured, and overlooked.
His practice invites the viewer to slow down, to move beyond recognition and into reflection; where clarity exists not in what is immediately visible, but in what is discovered between the lines.
